Global Process Equipment Quality Assurance Leader

JOB SUMMARY:
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Global Process Equipment Quality Assurance Leader will be a member of the Global Fixed Equipment Group providing integral support to the Flint Hills Resources Operating Excellence team. This Leader is responsible to develop quality systems and systematic plans so that quality requirements will be fulfilled on major capital projects across FHR.
* Set expectations for necessary inspections and testing plans
* Develop plan for staffing and managing field QA/QC activities
* Review and approve welding procedures and quality control plans
* Develop and report project QA metrics
REQUIRED
* Minimum of 15 years QA/QC experience in both field and shop environments
* Minimum 5 years of experience directly relating to field supervision of construction activities in the Petrochemical industry
* Qualified as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), per American Welding Society requirements, or approved equivalent.
* Demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ANSI B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V, VII and IX, API620 and 650, AWS D1.1
* Ability to travel up to 70%
* High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED
* API 510, 570 and 653
* Certified as ASNT Level II in MT, PT, RT and UT
* Certified in Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI)
* Certified National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE)
* Strong Working knowledge of coating applications and methods and recognized industry standards.
