Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for a dynamic Account Executive (AE) to take our vision of providing high quality customer service to our brokers/agent clients and internal partners to the next level. While focusing on the growth and persistency of our group benefit products (dental, vision, disability, life) in the small to medium sized markets within the XX territory, our AEs focus will include but is not limited to retention of in-force clients, identification of new opportunities to place Principal products with the inforce client base, and active participation in resolving complex customer issues and concerns through direct interaction with brokers, customers and internal partners. At times, involvement or participation in enrollment meetings and presentations is needed to ensure our service models are fully executed. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (2-4 years work experience), plus minimum of 2 years account management experience required working directly with group ancillary or group medical products.
Must be able to acquire and maintain all required state licenses, as outlined by the Principal Financial Group within 90 days.
Must obtain product knowledge through training and self-initiated education.
Must have excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, time management, presentation, strong negotiation, listening, and oral/written communication skills, as well as basic analytical skills.
Basic math skills required.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred.
Must be able to maintain accuracy while being detail oriented.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
Travel required, up to 10%, including overnight stays.
Will spend an average of 20% of time out of the office in face-to-face contact with customers and brokers.
