Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five One (VR-51) falls under Commander Fleet Logistics Support Wing (CFLSW).  An entity of  the Naval Air Reserve.  Operates Navy Unique Fleet Essential Airlift aircraft on a worldwide basis to provide responsive, flexible, and rapid deployable air logistics support to sustain combat operations at sea and to Navy commands during peacetime.

From Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe Bay, VR-51 operates two C-20G aircraft, a modified version of the Gulfstream IV, that is equipped with a cargo door and high-density seating.  Minimum crew for passenger and cargo flights is two pilots, one crew chief, and one loadmaster.

 

VR-51's manpower is made up of Reservists (part-time) and Full Time Support (full-time) personnel.

You will be assigned to the Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Five One (VR-51) located on the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

 

Applicants will enter the Squadron earning pay and benefits equal to their current officer rank.  The Squadron looks to hire O-3's and O-4's.  As an O-3 you can expect to earn $20,000 - $50,000 annually as a drilling reservists.  As an O-4 you can expect to earn $30,000 - $70,000 annually as a drilling reservists.

 

Required to give one weekend a month and two weeks a year.  Pilots are also required to give the operations department six days of availability a month to fly missions.
