JOB SUMMARY:
Regulator Operator - West Region Job ID: 4443 Division: Watco Transportation Companies Location: Twin Falls, ID US Travel Involved: Not Specified Job Type: Full Time Job Level: Experienced Education: Technical/Specialized Training Category: Mechanical Operations Compensation: Not Specified Position Summary Operates Regulator in a safe manner to perform maintenance and construction activities in the repair and rebuilding of track structure. Operates truck safely to move and transport materials for track repairs and rebuilding. Replaces materials such as but not limited to rail, ties, switch components, crossing plank, and other track materials. Inspects and maintains truck and attached apparatuses such as boom, hi-rail gear, tools, etc. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Perform tasks associated with operating equipment including but not limited to inspecting and making running repairs to equipment. -Perform tasks associated with operating truck and boom, including but not limited to daily inspection of truck and attached apparatuses. -Daily Inspection for defects that may affect the operation of the equipment. -Comply with all company safety rules, policies and procedures, including FRA and DOT regulations. -Drives Company vehicles. -Performs other duties as requested or required. Requirements Education/Experience: High School education or general education development (GED); and 1-3 months job-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates and Licenses: Must possess valid drivers license and CDL with required endorsements. The employee in this job must be able to pass Railroad Operating and Safety Rules test. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of and skills in using hand tools, including wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, etc. Knowledge of and skills in using power tools and hydraulic equipment, including portable grinders, rail saws, track wrench machines, and power drills.
