The Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is the United States Department of Agriculture's chief scientific research agency and one of the world's premiere scientific organizations. ARS Postdoctoral Research Associates are hired to supplement a lead scientist's research on agricultural problems of high national priority affecting American agriculture.
The Small Grains and Potato Germplasm Research's mission is to 1) conduct genetics research to enhance small grains, potato, and rainbow trout production nationwide, 2) maintain, evaluate, and distribute germplasm stocks from our National Small Grains Collection, and 3) increase rainbow trout production efficiency through the use of grain-based feeds and increased knowledge of trout physiology and nutrition.
