INDIVIDUALS SEEKING TO APPLY FOR THE VA ILLIANA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM PATHWAYS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM NEED TO APPLY PER THE INSTRUCTIONS LISTED BELOW IN THE "HOW TO APPLY" SECTION.

This is a Student Internship opportunity under the Pathways Intern Program. This is a temporary, excepted service appointment. The incumbent may be converted, without a break in service to a term, career or career conditional appointment upon graduation and completion of program requirements.The Internship Program provides managers a ready source of student employees and potential permanent employees upon completion of the program requirements. It also provides the student with work experience directly related to their curriculum studies and career goals while offering eligibility for non-competitive conversion to permanent employment upon completion. To be eligible for conversion, the student employee must be capable of working at least 640 hours prior to completion of their degree requirements.
