JOB SUMMARY:

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

This announcement will have a cut-off on Aug 8, 2012. There will be a cut-off every two weeks from this date until the vacancies are filled or until the closing date of the announcement.

 

a. This position will be filled from the following sources: Current Army employees (serving on a career/career conditional appointments); or applicants who meet the following eligibility: Reinstatement eligibles, & 30% Disabled Vets.

b. If you are a current Army employee, this position will be filled from employees eligible for Temporary Promotion or Temporary Reassignment. The position is Temporary NTE 1 year with provisions to extend up to five years. The position can be converted to permanent without further competition.

 

c. For Temp position: If you are Reinstatement eligible or 30% Disables Vet, this position is temporary Not To Exceed 1 year and may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of two years.

 

About the Position:  Serves as Attorney-Advisor (Contract) for the US Army Sustainment Command (ASC), US Joint Munitions Command (JMC), US Army Contracting Command- Rock Island (ACC-RI) and Rock Island Arsenal Garrison (RIA), rendering legal advice and service to the commands.
