The Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) FY 2009 provides that the Secretary of Defense can designate acquisition positions as shortage positions and recruit and appoint highly qualified persons to these positions. This announcement is open to accept resumes from candidates interested in helping the Department of the Navy meet our mission requirements for the acquisition of systems, equipment and facilities. This position is in the Global Deterrence & Defense Dept-GX, Technology & Infra Protection Div.-GXQ, Automated Test Systems Engrng Br-GXQW, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, IN. This office is responsible for the development of state-of-the-art automated test systems to support combat systems, and unique equipment systems and subsystems. The incumbent provides expertise in operations, research, development and Configuration Control of automated test equipment, specifically the Teradyne S9100 and its ancillary equipment. The incumbent shall show a mature level of understanding of the engineering analysis of key components of the Teradyne system with examples of resolution of controversial or novel problems.
