Job Summary:
Patient Care Services/Mental Health has an opening for a full time Psychiatry Clinical Nurse Specialist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the OEF/OIF/OND (Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation New Dawn) Program to provide recovery-oriented, veteran centered interventions and medication management for a caseload of veterans who need assistance with reintegration after combat and who may have PTSD or other mental health issues. The CNS or NP will provide assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, individual, group and/or family therapy, treatment planning and medication management for a caseload of veterans who have recently deployed from combat arenas.
Shift: Primarily Day position with one (1) evening a week in the OEF/OIF/OND clinic plus a monthly Saturday clinic. Other opportunities for weekend outreach events may be asked of the candidate as well.
