DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with the preparation of account or department level budgets and performs detailed variance analysis.

Research invoice, contract and accounting transactions.

Assist in the preparation of special requests coming from Executive Leadership.

Assigned to projects that may offer exposure to Leaders in both the Finance and Operational areas.

Assist with the preparation and distribution of routine and ad hoc planning reports by gathering supporting documentation, updating and/or generating reports or presentations using available planning tools and reviewing reports for overall reasonableness.

Responsible for the printing, assembly and distribution of final schedules and documents.

Potential to present simple material, written and oral, to Finance department Leaders.

Solve budgeting issues.

Track monthly spending and analyze collected data.

Job duties require heavy Excel use.Minimum Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

Progress towards Business related major; preferably Finance, Accounting or Economics.

Minimum junior level.

To be eligible must be currently enrolled as a full time student (minimum 12 credit hours).

Maintained 3.0 or above cumulative GPA.

EXPERIENCE:

Looking for an individual with involvement in extracurricular activities.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STLYE:

Ability to create basic financial models, analyses and graphs using Excel.

Individual should be comfortable with advanced functions of Excel; including V-lookup and pivot tables.

Basic PowerPoint skills required, as well as working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to understand the structure and relationship of basic financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

An individual who is self motivated and able to work with minimal guidance.

Excellent Customer Service skills are necessary.

Relationship building skills and effective communication skills are essential.
