Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
About the Position:
Recruitment or relocation bonus will be authorized.
The positions will be located within the Department of Primary Care and Community Medicine at Fort Riley, Kansas. You may be assigned to Irwin Army Community Hospital, Farrelly Health Clinic or Custer Hill Health Center.
The hours will vary from 0730-1630.
You may be required to work weekend call duty and nights with call duty varying depending on the number of providers in the call pool with call frequency being 1-2 weekends per month and 2-6 times per month during weekdays/nights.
Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
