The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill many temporary positions at Mammoth Cave National Park.   Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time. Appointments under this announcement are eligible for rehire and/or extension (when initial appointment is less than 1039 hours) if workload and funding allow.  Individuals selected under this vacancy announcement are eligible for rehire in subsequent service years.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: March, 2014

Mammoth Cave National Park is located in the beautiful farm country of south central Kentucky.  Housing in the area is plentiful and reasonably priced.  Medical attention is available in close proximity and major metropolitan areas of Louisville, KY and Nashville, TN are approximately a 1 1/2 hour drive from the park.  The people are friendly, local and regional culture and history are fascinating, recreational opportunities are many.  The city of Bowling Green, KY is approximately 35 miles from the park with an estimated population of over 60,000.  Also, the cityof Glasgow, KY is approximately 19 miles from the park with an estimated population of 14,200.

This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
