The Alexandria VA Health Care System is seeking a Chief of Surgery Service to lead dynamic Surgical Service serving veterans who reside in Central Louisiana. The Alexandria VA Health Care System, Alexandria, Louisiana  is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 3 facility serving Veterans within 23 of Louisiana’s 64 parishes.  The Alexandria VA Health Care System is located in Pineville, Louisiana with community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) in Jennings, Lafayette, Fort Polk, and Natchitoches, Louisiana. 


The Chief of Surgery is a board certified physician in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).  The incumbent will be expected to practice within their specialty approximately half time (0.5 FTEE) and perform administrative duties approximately half time (0.5 FTEE).  The incumbent will report to the Chief of Staff.
