About the Position: The purpose of this position is work is to provide generalist concept in a broad variety of fields by furnished advisory, planning, coordinating, managing and design services as a central point of contact for customers and for design personnel within and outside the agency. Work has an impact on a wide range of construction projects on the installation and at reserve centers throughout Louisiana and Texas. FORT POLK HOME OF HEROES The surrounding community of Fort Polk is comprised of the towns of Leesville, DeRidder, New Llano and Anacoco. The nearest cities are Alexandria (45 miles northeast) and Lake Charles (55 miles south). The area is considered rural with Kisatchie National Forest, which offers hunting and recreational activities located nearby. Also, located nearby are Toledo Bend Lake, Vernon Lake and Anacoco Lake for those interested in fishing, boating, swimming etc.
Organization Mission: Public Works mission is to provide services for Fort Polk and JRTC. We provide quality housing, training, maintenance, and community facilities and services in support of the U. S. Army mission and training, as measured by the positive response of commanders, soldiers, and their families.
