Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

• This position will be located at the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, Dept. of Behavioral Health, in Ft. Polk, LA.
• Recruitment bonus may be authorized.
• Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
• Will be required to work weekend call duties and evenings every 10 weeks for one week.
• Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
• With more than 22,000 military members and their families, Ft Polk provides us with a diverse and well-skilled population. The area is considered rural with the Kisatchie National Forest, which offers hunting and recreational activities located nearby.
