Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) works to promote safety, protect the environment, and conserve resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement. 

 
This position is located in the Office of Structural and Technical Support Office, Regional Field Operations, Gulf of Mexico OCS Region. This office is responsible for providing policy recommendations to the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) Regional Supervisor for Regional Field Operations, and has responsibilities to manage the Platform Verification Program; chair major accident investigations; and provides technical assistance in the development of new and revised operating regulations and procedures.

 

 

Bureau-Wide:  Applications will be accepted from current BSEE employees serving under a permanent competitive service appointment or current BSEE employees serving under certain non-competitive special appointing authorities (e.g., VRA, severely disabled or mentally impaired appointments, or SCEP within 120 days of conversion).
