HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE

TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

 

LOCATION: NGLA-JLO-MA (CSMS), PINEVILLE, LA

 

This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters—State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of combat, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment.

 

THIS IS NOT A PERMANENT POSITION, BUT RATHER AN INDEFINITE APPOINTMENT. THE INCUMBENT WILL BE ENTITLED TO ALL LEAVE AND INSURANCE COVERAGE AS A PERMANENT EMPLOYEE AND COVERAGE IN THE FEDERAL EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (FERS)/FEDERAL EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM-REVISED ANNUITY EMPLOYEES (FERS-RAE).

Area 1 = Warrant Officer (CW3 and below) and Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.
