This position is located in Shop 99 and the function of the Nuclear Pipefitting section is top perform various tasks in the shop and aboard vessels assigned to this shipyard for construction, overhaul, conversion or repair, by performing the installation, removal, modification, fabrication, alignment, test and repair of Nuclear and Radiological support systems, associated components and equipment assigned to Nuclear Pipefitting trade shop 99.  The successful applicant of this position will participate in the work, and lead a group of 3 or more pipefitters, which may consist of apprentices, helpers, workers and journey-level pipefitters, in accomplishing the duties of the shop. This position requires knowledge of pipefitter trade practices and the ability to lead, direct, and read and interpret blueprints, instructions, specifications, and other related materials.
