This position is located in the Production Resources Department, Structural Shop. The selectee will be responsible for all Shop planning for an assigned project (e.g., all machinery, auxiliary, weapons, test or nuclear work) where assigned. This will require planning for the trade of Shipfitter and assist in other trades work that can be performed using precious work packages and does not require a trade background. The scope of Production Shop Planner functions includes all necessary actions to package, assemble, accomplish Readiness Reviews, release and accomplish records review certification of the Technical Work Documents (TWDs) and supporting documents and materials needed to execute project or shop related tasks. The planner works to the project schedule in order to stage all TWDs and supporting documentation and material needed to support accomplishment of the task.
