Job Description :


Diagnoses problems, repairs, maintains machinery and mechanical equipment.
* Observes mechanical devices in operation, listens to sounds or visually inspects to detect malfunctions in order to diagnose problem.
* Dismantles defective machines and equipment to gain access to problem area or to install new ore repaired parts.
* Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems. Repairs or replaces defective parts in machinery.
* Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment when necessary. Lubricates and cleans parts including bearings, shafts and gears.
* Realigns and adjusts machine components including spindles and clutches.
* Tests machines following repairs.
* Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
* Repairs and maintains physical structure of facility.
* Performs preventive maintenance functions.
* Assists production personnel in change-overs and set-ups.
* Helps plant machinist in fabricating parts.
* Informs appropriate management personnel of equipment and part needs.
*Will performother duties as assigned.


Job Requirements :


* High School diploma or equivalent.
* 3 – 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature and pressure gauges.
* Basic mechanical aptitude.
* Must possess own maintenance tools.
* Ability to communicate in English and to diagnose and analyze mechanical problems.
