* Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.
* Ensure that Process Safety and Risk Management principles are incorporated into the foundation of department operations.
* Support all Safety and Environmental programs and Responsible Care Guiding Principles to ensure protection of the environment, the health and safety of employees and the public.
* Coordinate all maintenance (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) work performed on all of the plants machinery, vehicles, buildings and grounds.
* Coordinate all maintenance (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation) activities for proper, safe execution of plant turnarounds. Aggressively seek to minimize cost and duration of shutdown activities.
* Establish and monitor key measures to ensure that a comprehensive and effective maintenance and reliability program is in place and that the Maintenance Excellence Process is practiced.
* Assure work performed complies with engineering standards, applicable jurisdictional codes and plant policies.
* Direct and manage the site maintenance staff to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce costs, and improve process uptime and mechanical reliability.
* Assist operations to troubleshoot and problem solve to eliminate problems or repetitive failures, and maximize production up-time
* Coordinate with engineering group(s) for capital project executions to ensure effective use of capital funds.
* Maintain a competent maintenance staff through selection, development, and motivation of subordinates.
* Coordinate the use of contract resources appropriate for the site.
* Develop and maintain expertise in areas of specialization, new skill areas, and continuously develop overall technical competence. Participate in programs to expand professional development.
* Ensure that Process Safety and Risk Management principles are incorporated into the foundation of department operations.
Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Engineering with 5-10 years of plant experience.
*
Good working knowledge of plant operations.
*
Supervisory experience preferred.
*
Maintenance experience and general knowledge of basic accounting, production capabilities, and mechanical skills are also required.
