Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY:
General maintenance in a meat processing company.
Skill requirements include working knowledge in the following areas:
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
Adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straightedges.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
Electrical, All requirements of C level technician with additions of.
1. Have an understanding of basic control wiring and ability to pass a test.
2. Ability to replace a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)
3. Ability to read an electrical schematic.
4. Abilty to use various test equipment.
5. Basic understanding of PLC hardware.
Mechanical, All requirements of C level technician with additions of.
1. Knowledge of shop tools and their uses.
2. Understanding of hydraulic components and how to troubleshoot them.
3. Understanding Pneumatic components and how to troubleshoot them.
4. Knowledge of pumps and compressors
5. Knowledge of plasma cutters
6. TIG welding skills
Ability to pass written maintenance level B test. After one year of time have a full understanding of our full production process and equipment.
Bilingual is a plus.
