Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of problems in the field.
Responsibilities:

• Repairs minor leaks
• Manages irrigation system for district
• Hangs lock-out tags on customer doors
• Completes turn off/turn on of service for district customers
• Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion
• Cleans shop area as assigned
• Conducts routine maintenance tests
• Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions

Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 year related experiences and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience .
* Ability to write complete work orders
* Ability to follow written and oral instructions
* Willing to learn and help
* Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable
* Willing to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call
• Valid driver''s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of the water/wastewater industry helpful

Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds
Able to climb ladders and stairways
