JOB SUMMARY:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician III is a key position which when properly performed shall result in a minimum of plant downtime. The Maintenance Technician III must have an extensive knowledge of mechanical power transmissions, crushers, conveyor belts, Raymond mills, front end loaders, forklifts, bagging machines and basic fabrication. The Quality Management System is dependent upon the proper operation of plant process equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Development of and adherence to a detailed lubrication and PM schedule for all equipment.
2.Oversee/perform general repairs of all plant equipment.
3.Fabricate or oversee fabrication of chutes, joppers, piping, equipment supports and other machining as required and with little input from management.
4.Assist production group as required by management.
5.Train others in plant maintenance.
6.Be available for call-outs as management requires.
7.Perform/oversee mill rebuilds in a timely manner to reduce mill downtime.
8.Maintain various maintenance records in electronic and hardcopy format including part inventories as required.
9.Inform management of all problems with equipment that might have an effect on the production process or quality of the products.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Assists maintenance department in mill rebuilds and other duties as requested by management.
2.Performs other duties assigned by management.
3.Loads bulk trucks as needed.
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES
1.Provides guidance and mentoring of individuals in the role of Maintenance Technician I and other mill operators as needed.
