These are permanent positions that may be filled as full time permanent (FTP) or full time seasonal (FTS).  Seasonal employment means annually recurring periods of work of less than 12 months each year. Seasonal employees are permanent employees who are placed in nonduty/nonpay status and recalled to duty in accordance with pre-established conditions of employment.

About the position: Incumbent performs a variety of operation and maintenance duties such as electrical work, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, roofing, painting, motor vehicle operations, laboring, grounds keeping and custodial support under detailed guidance and instructions in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, both of which are aimed in preparing the incumbent to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties at the WG-4749-08 level. Incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the WG-8 pending demonstration of abilities to perform the next higher/target level grade duties.
