This position is located in the Pacific West Region at the American Memorial Park located in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
With a population of approximately 43,133, Saipan is the largest island of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands located in the western Pacific Ocean. As an international destination, Saipan offers a varied of activities from snorkeling and diving in the islands turquoise waters to hiking in pristine jungles, to rediscovering the islands rich history and culture at the local museum, monuments, and the American Memorial Park.
The American Memorial Park honors the American and Marianas people who died in the World War II Marianas Campaign. As a living memorial, the park provides a venue for community recreational, cultural and historical activities.
The 1944 Battle for Saipan was one of the bloodiest battles of the Pacific War. Once secure U. S Forces cut off vital Japanese supply and communication lines and built airfields for the American B-29 bombers that carried out bombing raids within range of the Japanese homeland. NOTE: 13.84% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) is authorized for this geographic location. It will be included in addition to the salary listed above.
