About the Position:
The purpose of the Industrial Hygienist's work is to plan and conduct surveys that evaluate occupational health problems in complex work systems. Evaluations involve heavy industries, the use of toxic chemicals, or other unusual conditions which require extensive investigation on the industrial hygienists part and may not be adequately covered by standards. The work performed affects groups of workers who may be in potentially hazardous environments as well as the effectiveness of the installation's and tenants occupational health programs. The U.S. Army Public Health Command-North promotes health and prevents disease, injury, and disability in Soldiers and retirees, their families, and Army Civilians.
