WHAT DOES AN IRS CONTRACT SPECIALIST/PROCUREMENT ANALYST DO?

As an IRS Contract Specialist/Procurement Analyst in the Office of Procurement you will apply Federal procurement laws and regulations Department wide to award outside vendors complex and high-profile Federal contracts involving millions of dollars. This entails evaluating proposals, awarding and administering contracts, performing cost/price analyses, negotiating price and technical issues, and preparing contractually enforceable documents.  You will conduct strategic analyses of Department requirements to provide input on developing an overall strategic sourcing plan for the Department.

WHAT IS THE AGENCY-WIDE SHARED SERVICES (AWSS) DIVISION?

AWSS customers are IRS employees - it provides a very broad array of complex administrative support services to every IRS employee. This list of essential services includes responsibility for real estate, facilities management, occupational safety, records and files management, career learning centers, travel services, contracts and procurement, and administering Equal Employment Opportunity programs and processes.

Positions is located in Oxon Hill, MD.
