The Operations Research Analyst or General Engineer position is located within the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Test Directorate (UASTD), Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL), Patuxent River, Maryland. The position requires in depth knowledge of test and evaluation relative to advanced concepts, principles, theories, practices and techniques of aerospace, electronics and mechanical disciplines. This knowledge will, in turn, be used by the Operations Research Analyst or the General Engineer to sufficiently modify and extend theories and/or practices relative to the MQ-8B FireScout and other specific unmanned platforms assigned to them. You will serve as a recognized technical expert on the assigned platforms. This position requires knowledge and understanding of DoD acquisition policies (DoD 5000 series). You will lead a multi-disciplinary team and communicate as an authoritative spokesperson for the organization as well as have a detailed understanding of project/program management as related to aircraft and systems test and evaluation.
