This position is for a Family Practice Physician at the Naval Health Clinic, Patuxent River, MD (NHCPR). The selectee shall be responsible to the Primary Care Department Head for delivering appropriate quality treatment and diagnosis to active duty, active duty family members, retirees, and retiree family members. The selectee will serve as a primary care provider with enrolled patients and assist with: advising other care providers (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Independent Duty Corpsman); consultant and advisor; as a medical representative on boards and committees, in conferences and other activities involving the health care of the population served.
The selectee will be on-call (phone watch) on a rotating basis with other providers for patients enrolled to NHCPR. The clinic will operate 5 days per week (Mon-Fri); estimating 36 hours per week of patient appointments per provider.
