This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr), in the National Center for Workforce Analysis (NCWA).
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary Federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable. Comprising six bureaus and 10 offices, HRSA provides leadership and financial support to health care providers in every state and U.S. territory. HRSA grantees provide health care to uninsured people, people living with HIV/AIDS, and pregnant women, mothers and children. They train health professionals and improve systems of care in rural communities.
The National Center for Workforce Analysis (NCWA) provides leadership in the development and dissemination of accurate and timely data for analysis and research regarding the Nation's health workforce in order to inform decision making for policymakers and to support goals related to the Nation's health professionals' workforce.

This position is critical to assessing the current status of Health Resources and Services Administration's research programs, assuming scientific leadership by defining long- and short-range goals for health research programs and appropriately guiding health research support in keeping with departmental and national policies.
