The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill up to 5 temporary positions at Adams National Historical Park. Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time. Appointments under this announcement are eligible for rehire and/or extension (when initial appointment is less than 1039 hours) if workload and funding allow. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April, 2014
AREA INFORMATION: Adams National Historical Park is located in the city of Quincy, Massachusetts, seven miles south of Boston. Located on the South Shore, Quincy is accessible by public transportation to Boston's museums, shops, educational and entertainment venues. The park is comprised of the Birthplaces of John and John Quincy Adams, the "Old House" at Peace field, and the Stone Library. Park housing is not available and apartment rentals in the area are expensive. The spring and fall seasons are cool and wet, summers are hot and humid and the historic homes are not climate controlled.
