The Seasonal Recruitment Operations Center is currently accepting applications to fill up to 2 temporary positions at Springfield Armory National Historic Site.  Appointments made under this announcement are limited to 1039 hours (six months) in a service year and may be terminated at any time.  Appointments under this announcement are eligible for extension if workload and funding allow.  Individuals selected under this vacancy announcement are eligible for rehire in subsequent service years.  Anticipated Entry on Duty: May, 2014 

AREA INFORMATION: Springfield Armory NHS is located in Springfield Massachusetts, which is an urban area. With a population of approximately 160,000, Springfield has the usual amenities for a city, i.e. hospital, churches, lodging, stores, transportation, etc. Within 30 miles of the city are many developed suburban towns, colleges and universities, and recreation opportunities. Temperatures range from -10 F to +40 F in the winter and +50 F to +95 F in the summer. Precipitation is approximately 35 inches annually. 

This announcement is being advertised under delegated examining procedures and is open to all U.S. citizens. 

 

This announcement may be used to fill additional positions if identical vacancies occur within 90 days of the issue date of the referral certificate.
