VA LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES RESIDENCY (VALOR) NURSING PROGRAM
The Nursing VALOR Program is for outstanding students who have completed the final semester/quarter of the junior year in an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited baccalaureate or equivalent program.
Under the guidance of proficient VA registered nurse preceptors, VALOR students develop clinical competencies in a medical surgical setting. The learning opportunities in these areas will be enhanced by didactic course work and structured clinical experiences including competency-based clinical practice and participation in nursing-focused clinical classroom sessions.
This is a time-limited, temporary position. Internal candidates - please note that accepting a position as a VALOR Student Nurse Technician is considered a position transfer. There is no guarantee that the prior position or equivalent position would be available or that you would be selected for any position after the VALOR program completes.
