About the Position:

ARMY PATHWAYS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM: The Army Pathways Internship Program is a streamlined program which  is designed to attract students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions (high school, home-school programs, vocational and technical, undergraduate and graduate) with paid opportunities to work in agencies and explore federal careers while still in school. This Program exposes students to jobs in the Federal Civil Service by providing meaningful developmental work at the beginning of their careers, before their career paths are fully established.The flexible nature of the program also accommodates the need to hire students to complete temporary work or projects, perform labor-intensive tasks not requiring subject matter expertise, or to work traditional "summer jobs."

Position(s) will be filled under the Department of the Army Pathways Intern Program. 

 

In this position you may be non-competitively converted to the GS-05 level when you meet OPM requirements. Promotion to the GS-05 level is optional, agencies are not required to convert program participants to permanent positions upon completion of the program.

The Department of the Army Pathways Interns may be  non-competitively converted to a permanent position within 120 days of successful completion of the program and meeting qualifying education and other OPM requirements. Conversion of Pathway students to permanent appointments is an option, however; agencies are not required to convert students who complete the program.

Who May Apply:

All U.S.Citizens accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma,certificate, etc.) in accounting or finance at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the school.) You will be required to provide documentation to support your eligibility. See the "How to Apply"section for details.

NOTE: You must maintain student eligibility and enrollment for the duration of the internship. If you cannot, you are ineligible for this program. Please review the "REQUIREMENTS" section of this vacancy announcement to ensure you qualify for this internship.
