About the Position:

Duty location:  You will be working for the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Fort Leonard Wood, in the beautiful South Central Missouri Ozarks, covers more than 61,000 acres. The Fort is located in Pulaski County. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville and St. Robert. The post is two miles South of Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield, Missouri, is a little more than an hour's drive to the West.

The work involves standing and bending in the assessment, examination and treatment of patients. Some lifting is required as assistance is given to other personnel in maneuvering patients into positions for examination, treatment and testing.

Work is performed in a clinical setting where exposure to infectious and contagious diseases is common. Appropriate precautions must be taken to prevent the spread of disease to self and other patients.

Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

Work schedule may be required to work weekend call duties and evenings.

May include shift work or rotating shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays).

Employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and holidays, out of cycle, or unscheduled training or on an emergency basis.

Employee may be recalled to duty from scheduled time off.
