Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
Required to work on on-call duty on a rotating schedule and respond back to the hospital within 30 minutes of being called in. While hours of work are normally business hours the employee may be scheduled to work nights, weekends and/or holidays, depending on the assignment.
Required to accept calls outside of working hours.
Duty location: You will be working for the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital (GLWACH) in the Emergency Room at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Fort Leonard Wood, in the beautiful South Central Missouri Ozarks, covers more than 61,000 acres. The Fort is located in Pulaski County. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville and St. Robert. The post is two miles South of Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield, Missouri, is a little more than an hour's drive to the West.
