Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:
Recruitment or relocation bonus may be authorized. 

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital and its affiliated clinics provide inpatient and outpatient care to more than 36,000 beneficiaries and are staffed by medical, dental, nursing, and administrative personnel. The facilities are located at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, near the city of Waynesville.
In Waynesville, quality of life means a friendly wave from neighbors, a short commute, cultural diversity, and a pristine environment for recreation. Located in the lakes region of Missouri, the beautiful Ozarks landscape offers endless recreational opportunities including swimming, fishing and hunting, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing and spelunking. Community celebrations and historic preservation efforts compliment the area’s hometown atmosphere. This position is a TERM position. It is temporary and may be extended up to a maximum of four years.

This position may require working nights, weekends and/or holidays depending on the assignment and may require being recalled to duty from scheduled time off.
