JOB SUMMARY:

The Kansas City VAMC has a vacancy for a full time registered nurse in Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (SARRTP) in Mental Health.  The RN is responsible for the provision of nursing and rehabilitative services for residents and works in the residential setting. The schedule for this position includes eight hour and twelve hour shifts, every other weekend.  The predominant tour is day shift but occasionally may have to work evenings or nights to meet patient care needs.  The position reports to the SARRTP Program Manager.

 

First area of consideration will be given to permanent Kansas City VAMC employees.  Internal and External Candidates will be considered.

NOTE:  Applicant's education and length of nursing practice (experience) will be considered by a Nurse Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and step of the applicant selected.
