The Natural Resources Conservation Service provides leadership in a partnership effort to help conserve, maintain, and improve our natural resources and environment. http://www.nrcs.usda.gov/  

 

You will perform the duties as a professional district conservationist within USDA-National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The incumbent has responsibility for carrying out a comprehensive, coordinated natural resources conservation program in the selected county(s).

Satus Candidates include:

• All Federal employees serving on a career or career-conditional appointment.
• All former Federal employees with Reinstatement eligibility.
• Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) and Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) eligibles (See definition below).
• Veterans eligible under Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA).

Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) Eligibles that are well qualified may apply for this position. To be well-qualified and exercise selection priority for this vacancy, displaced Federal employees must be rated at 85 or above on the rating criteria for this position.

CTAP/ICTAP eligibles must submit one of the following as proof of eligibility for the special selection priority:

• a separation notice;
• a "Notice of Personnel Action" (SF-50) documenting separation;
• an agency certification that you cannot be placed after injury compensation has been terminated;
• an OPM notification that your disability annuity has been terminated;
• a Military Department or National Guard Bureau notification that you are retired under 5 U.S.C. 8337(h) or 8456.
