As the Biological Science Technician you will be assigned to work within the Natural Resources Division of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The selectee will work with professional staff to implement natural resource management projects with a primary focus on plant and wildlife management.
AREA INFORMATION: Ozark National Scenic Riverways is located in the southeastern portion of Missouri on the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers. The park features 134 miles of crystal clear, spring-fed rivers that are flanked by scenic bluffs and numerous springs and caves. The duty station for this position is Van Buren, Missouri. Limited shopping, medical and dental are available. Popular Bluff, approximately 40 miles southeast, has more shopping, medical, dental and entertainment. Summers are hot and humid.
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a seasonal temporary position with full-time work not to exceed (NTE) 1039 hours in a service year. Under this type of appointment selectee(s) may be eligible for rehire in future seasons.
