  • Do you have experience with defining legal and factual issues concerning land and resources?
  • Do you enjoy giving advice on public land laws?
  • Do you have experience researching historical indexes, plans, survey information, and interpreting maps?

This position is a Land Law Examiner, located in the Montana State Office (MSO), Division of Resources, Branch of Land Resources, Lands Adjudication Section.  The purpose of the position is to process to completion of a full variety of lands and realty cases and provide technical adjudicative support to the land adjustment program (sales, acquisitions, donations, easements, and exchanges), land use authorizations, and withdrawal programs.  This position also assists in preparing the midyear, end of year and ad hoc accomplishment reports, and provides data for Lands and Realty case processing accomplishments for Public Land Statistics and the BLM Annual Report.

 

The position also serves as an MSO contact for Case Recordation data entry standards for land cases, provides guidance on LR 2000 in the Montana Lands and Realty programs, and provides quality control reviews.
