This is a Term Appointment not-to-exceed 1 year and 1 day that may be extended incrementally up to 4 years.

Interpretive Park Rangers are specially trained to engage the public so that each park visitor can find a personal connection with the meanings and values found in the places and stories of the park they are visiting. The work done by Park Rangers through effective interpretive and educational programs encourages the development of a personal stewardship ethic and broadens public support for preserving and protecting park resources, so they may be enjoyed by present and future generations.
This is the position of an Interpretive Park Ranger and is duty stationed at Pompey's Pillar National Monument in Montana. Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. Any travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee unless otherwise eligible for reimbursement of relocation expenses under the Federal Travel Regulations (i.e., current career/career-conditional Federal employee).
