NG MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an exc svc posn that req membership in a compat mil assignment in the NG.  Selectee will be required to wear the mil uniform. Acceptance of an exc posn constitutes concurrence with these req as a condition of employment.  Applicants who are not currently a member of the NG must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the NG in the mil grade listed in this announcement.

 

This position serves as the Deputy MSG for a self-contained, stand alone, separately licenses ANG av base. The purpose of this posn is to serve as the full asst to the MSG Cdr. This posn shares responsibility with the MSG Cdr and assists in directing and managing all infrastructure ops of an av base that include CE, crash/fire/rescue, disaster preparedness, ENV MGT, pers, C4, log plans, programs and rdns, base supply, trans, vehicle maint, contracting, SF, med spt, base svc, fuels mgt, aerial port operations (as assigned), and all other spt base functions. This posn assists the MSG Cdr in directing and managing all MS pgms and ops in spt of the total base, to include tenant org and assigned geo sep units. Services pers include MT, AGR, Trad Guard members, NDS, employees of tenant org, state employees, and contract personnel.

DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: 

Area 1- Current perm & indef techs of the NE Air NG

Area 2- All Drill Status/M-Day members and temp techs of the NE Air or Army NG

Area 3- Current mil svc members who are willing and eligible to become member of the NE Air NG

Area 4- All qual candidates eligible and willing to become a member of the NE Air or Army NG. Selected indiv must become a member of the respective NE NG prior to the eff date of hire.
