NG MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:  This is an exc service posn that requires membership in a compatible mil assignment in the NG.  Selectee will be required to wear the mil uniform. Acceptance of an excepted posn constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.  Applicants who are not currently a member of the NG must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the NG in the mil grade listed in this announcement.

 

NOTE: MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN THE LEVEL OF SECURITY CLEARANCE/BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED. 

 

This position is located in the JFHQ-State, Log Directorate (G4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The primary purpose of this posn is to perform maintenance, repair, and inspections on optical and non-optical precision instruments and related devices.

DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: 

Area 1- Current perm and indefinite bargaining unit Technicians of the NE Army and Air NG

Area 2- All Drill Status/M-Day members and temp techs of the NE Army and Air NG                    

Area 3- Current mil service members who are willing & eligible to become members of the NEARNG                                                                                     

Area 4- All qualified candidates eligible and willing to become a member of the NE Army NG. Selected indiv must become a member of the respective NE NG prior to the effective date of hire

 

Referral of Applicants: Qualified applicants will be referred to the selecting official in the following order:

 

1.  Fully qual Area 1

2.  Fully qual Area 2
