NEVADA AIR NATIONAL GUARD

 

THIS IS A TEMPORARY TECHNICIAN POSITION NOT TO EXCEED 30 AUGUST 2013.

 

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED:   This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

 

Persons with an TEMPORARY NTE status:

      [1]  Do not acquire indefinite / permanent status.

      [2]  Do not serve a trial period.

      [3]  Are in Tenure Group 0 for Reduction in Force purposes.

      [4]  Normally separated at not to exceed date.

      [5]  Are NOT entitled to retirement and insurance (life and health) benefits, or military leave.

 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is located at the unit level in the ANG Aviation Wing, Operations Group at selected Air Mobility Command (AMC) and Air Education Training Command (AETC) gained flying units in the Ai rNational Guard (ANG).   The primary purpose of the position is to provide ground and flight instruction in high performance, military airlift aircraft i.e. C-130.
