NEVADA AIR NATIONAL GUARD
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is located in the Air Operations function of the ANG C-130 units. This position is primarily responsible for providing ground and flight training instruction for developing, upgrading, and evaluating the skills of Flight Engineer aircrew members; performing Flight Engineer duties on assigned missions; and performing related staff work.
Missions and assignments of unit aircraft may include airlift of equipment and personnel, tactical airdrop, medical evacuations, search and rescue, ski missions, aerial refueling, fire fighting, special operations, and formal school qualification training.
