This is the Advanced level of the position. The incumbent serves as a Medical Support Assistant in Medical Service at the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System, Reno, Nevada.
This position supports the medical, technical and administrative staff of the service. The incumbent performs a variety of clerical functions, involving pre-operative testing, scheduling, reception, and coordinating work with the PATPU, PACU, O.R., and bed control. The position operates in the hub of activity in the service, and patient contact includes both inpatient and outpatient customers.
