 WG-08 Starting Salary $22.45 PH

Salary Range $22.45 - $26.47 PH

WG-11Starting Salary: $26.27 PH

    

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatibility assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

 

 

AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

AREA I: All Excepted Technicians of the 108th Wing (WG)

AREA II: All Excepted Technicians of the New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG)

AREA III: All members of the NJANG or those eligible for membership

 

 

If a New Jersey Army National Guard (NJARNG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJANG.

If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour.

MINIMUM RANK:   SrA/E-4                                                  MAXIMUM RANK:  SSgt/E-5

 

APPLICANTS ABOVE THE MAXIMUM RANK:  Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered. Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank. If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion. Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers may be allowed to reduce their Officer/Warrant Officer rank to Enlisted only. Military recruiters can provide Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers with specifics applicable to the applicant.

MILITARY POSITION: 108th Wing (WG).

 

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP STATUS:Employment in this position requires concurrent military assignment to a compatible military position in the New Jersey National Guard in one of the following military specialty codes:

MUST POSSESS AFSC: 2A7X1

NOTE: THE INDIVIDUAL SELECTED HAS ONE YEAR TO OBTAIN ADVERTISED AFSC/MOS

 

 

LEVEL OF CLEARANCE/INVESTIGATION: Non-Critical/Sensitive

MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.

 

 

 SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: To obtain the required AFSC, acceptance of this position requires a minimum ASVAB score of 47 in the Mechanical area.  ASVAB scores will not be required to apply for the position; however applicants must obtain required ASVAB scores prior to acceptance of the position. The applicant must verify their scores with their Military Personnel Flight/ Military Personnel Office.
