The Indian Health Service (IHS) is the principal federal health care provider and health advocate for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN). The IHS goal is to raise Indian health status to the highest possible level. Serves as the Chief of Surgery with full responsibility for supervising and directing the health care services provided by the Surgical Department for the Shiprock Service Unit. In addition to administrative duties, the incumbent will perform surgery. The Chief of Surgery defines and communicates the mission, vision and values for the Surgical Department. This position reports to the Clinical Director.
